2024 - As We All Will<\/pre>\n
OBSIDIAN MANTRA\u2019s third full-length album marks another clear step forward in the evolution of their distinctive, atmospheric, groove-centered death metal. Across eight dense and dynamic tracks, the band expands its sound, merging uncompromising heaviness and aggression with dissonance, while delving even deeper into the inhospitable soundscapes they have always inhabited.<\/p>\n
This time, death metal grooves make more room for explosive blasts, and black metal influences appear in raw, minimalist passages. The melodies take on a more dissonant, unsettling character, amplifying the tension and atmosphere that the band has become known for.<\/p>\n
Lyrically, \u201cAs We All Will\u201d confronts the existential condition of humankind \u2014 the inevitability of suffering, the universality of fear and weakness, and the necessity of facing an indifferent universe to overcome oneself. It is a bleak yet intense meditation on the darker side of human nature, representing both a continuation and an expansion of the band\u2019s sound and identity as they persistently follow their own path.<\/p>\n
